Hi guys, i am in Korea and I came across a popular sweet fruit snack, street food and dessert, it is called Tanghulu which is also known as bingtang hulu, candied fruit . This post about this fruit snack, it’s origin and my experience eating it

WHAT IS TANGHULU AND WHAT IS IT MADE OF

Tanghulu is one of the Most popular street food in Korea. The Fruits candy Tanghulu Is a candied fruit snack which is made up of fruits such as grape, strawberries , watermelon, red hawthorn berries are used and dipped in a sugar syrup and served on a bamboo skewer. When this is cold it becomes crunchy.

WHY DID TANGHULU BECOME POPULAR IN KOREA

It became popular in Korea , especiallu because of social media content , also because of its vibrant colors and satisfying crunchy texture and sweetness.

WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF TANGHULU

Tanghulu which is also known as bingtang hulu is is a fruit snack said tonjave originated from China. It is important to note that tangulu can have featured any fruit which would be encased in a glossy shell of sugar.

MY EXPERIENCE EATING TANGHULU

Immediately I took a bite I knew why people liked it, it was crunch, fruity and very sweet. The bamboo skewer was filled with the Tanghulu , I couldn’t help but be amazed, it is very delicious but after 3 or so bites i couldn’t continue eating as it was too sweet for me
