In March, A Korean cooking competition is going to take place which is organised by the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria. This is the 2025 Hansik (Korean Food) Contest. So if you love to cook, you have to join this contest, you don’t have to be a professional chef to participate.

The competition consists of two rounds:
First round is the Online Preliminary Round from March 6th to 23rd March 2025
Announcement of people who made it to finals is March 24th
· Offline Final Round

Online Preliminary Round:
· Task: Prepare a Korean dish using Jang (Korean sauces). Note: Instant foods, such as Ramyeon, will not be accepted.

Submission Requirements:
A. Complete the Google Form and provide the following:
· Why do you love Korean food? (up to 300 words)
· Why did you choose the Korean dish you’re preparing? (up to 300 words)
· A detailed recipe for your dish
First Round Judging Criteria:
· Theme Relevance (Jang): 20 points
· Composition and Creativity: 20 points
· Authenticity to Hansik: 20 points
· Plating: 15 points
· Difficulty: 15 points
· Storytelling (Sincerity): 10 points
· Bonus points for Social media upload: 5 points

· Rice: Bibimbap, Gimbap, Bulgogideopbap
· Street Food: Tteokbokki, Bibimmyeon, Pajeon
· Chicken: Samgyetang, Dakbokkeumtang, Dakgangjeong, Ganjang jjimdak
· Soup: Gochujangjjigae, Dubujjigae, Yukgaejang
· Vegetable: Geotjeori, Ssambap, Hobakjeon
